Stairs
Bethany learned how to go up the stairs this weekend. She was "talking" to Aunt Annie who was at the top of the stairs so I showed Bethany how to climb up one stair. And off she went. She climbed the entire huge stair case. She was so proud of herself. It helps that she is so tall because its not very hard for her to climb up those stairs. I love how fast of a learner she is.

Day at the park
Had to enjoy the nice weather. Bethany went down the slide for the first time. It was so funny to see how confused she was going down the slide.
My beautiful little sailor
Bethany is 9 months old. She is such a joy to have in our lives. Bethany loves the phone. Anytime we are talking on the phone she feels like she needs to come and visit too. I absolutely love my little angel.
Getting started
In getting started I thought about where I would probably be when a disaster could hit. It made me realize that no matter where I am my car is usually with me. So instead of putting my 72 hour kit in my house I put it in my car. The main reason for this is if you are at home you will have your everyday things around you and you can figure out what to do. However more often than not we are not at home when something happens, so having it in your car will give you a better chance at having what you need when you need it. The second reason for putting it in your car is because if there were a disaster and you were forced to evacuate your home, you would want to grab things like documents, photos, and other important things. If you have your 72 hour kits in your car you can focus on those other things and know that you have all the essential things in your car that you need. So think about where you want your 72 hour kits and what works for you.
